Expert Advisory Committee on Scaling Up Experimental, Social, and Behavioral Science

The 1st Annual Meeting of the Expert Advisory Committee on Scaling Up Experimental, Social, and Behavioral Science was held on June 30th. Lab Director Duncan Watts, Abdullah Almaatouq, Mark Whiting, Linnea Gandhi, and James Houghton presented an overview of CSS Lab’s ongoing work in high-throughput experimentation on group dynamics. In an engaging discussion, the Expert Advisory Committee provided valuable feedback on both theoretical and practical considerations that will help the Lab to refine its approach going forward.

We are grateful to the Committee’s Founding Members for accepting our invitation, and for their thoughtful comments: Eytan Bakshy, Facebook; Tom Griffiths, Princeton University; Colin Camerer, CalTech; Katia Damer, Prolific; Angela Duckworth, University of Pennsylvania; Daniel Kahneman, Princeton University; James Larson, Loyola University Chicago; Brian Uzzi, Northwestern University; and Ming Yin, Purdue University.
